The enemy was mighty, the battle was at hand
We’d surely be defeated, was this God’s plan?

1. Livin in a world of compromise
Seems everyones got religion, but its just a disguise
Too many preachers teach a seeker friendly word
They water down theology, its so absurd
Just do right and you’ll make it they say
Think only good thoughts and that is the way

2. Three in one, one in three
I believe in the Trinity
I believe Jesus was born of a virgin
And I believe someday soon He will return

I’m still holdin true to the Book, the Blood and blessed hope

Lost and alone in a dry forgotten land
There I stood clothed with nothing but some rags upon my back
I was hopeless, my heart was empty, how could anyone love me
Then someone came and clothed me and this is what He showed to me.

Lately I’ve been looking for a city a city built on high
A city that is built by God's own hands

A place where mortal mind can’t comprehend
Well it won’t be long until he calls us upward
And Gabriel’s trumpet loudly will resound

I’ll be going to my brand new land
